Adverse Weather

Queenstown weather conditions can sometimes mean icy roads and snow to low levels.

In the event of such adverse weather, the Queenstown primary schools along with the QLDC have put in place plans to ensure the safety of children and parents.

The Adverse Weather document in the Resources section on the right, outlines the three possible scenarios that could happen in the event of icy or snowy roads.

At all times please listen to the local radio for updates on road conditions.

We will continually update this page should the weather deteriorate and road conditions become impassable.

If it snows during the day, the QLDC and schools advise please stay at home, until the road is clear. Your children are safe at school. We have provisions should this occur.
