Remarkable Parents Association

Welcome

Remarkables Primary School has a very active and commited Parent’s Association.  It is made up of parents, caregivers and whanau willing to be actively involved in supporting and representing the school community.

What we do:-

As a new school our Remarkables Parents Association brings the school and the community together organising social events where we can meet and get to know other parents/caregivers and staff.  The Association is made up of parents and staff who meet once a month at the school to plan and co-ordinate these events.

The RPA also co-ordinates fundraising to supplement the school’s operational bulk funding. The RPA works very closely with the Principal, School Staff, and the Trailblazers and the Board of Trustees.

This allows us to be as responsive as possible to the school’s needs, such as the completion of landscaping projects (sail shades),  library and school  resources,  funding sports uniforms, sporting and other equipment  or other identified projects  and resources that are not already adequately funded.

A new Committee is formed at the AGM which is held every year in March- the date is confirmed closer to the time. Joining the RPA is a great way to support the school and to meet and get to know other parents/caregivers and staff.

Very soon we are aiming to enhance further, the communication between caregivers/parents, whanau and the school staff by allocating an RPA liaison person to each class. This person will act as the communication channel between school and RPA.

If you are interested in supporting this group please contact them on rpa@remarkablesprimary.school.nz or call the school office on 441 4044.

Our next meeting is usually the second Thursday of the month in the staff lounge - all welcome!
